About Hades
Fostered in Jacksonville, Hades is a young Great Dane with a heartwarming story. After being found running along a busy highway, underweight and overheated, he entered the care of Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue. No one claimed him from the Jacksonville Animal Shelter, but he's now thriving in foster care. At around a year old, Hades is incredibly gentle, sweet, and eager to learn. He gets along well with adults and has shown no signs of reactivity with his foster mom's Labrador. This energetic boy loves to play fetch and has a playful spirit, yet he also enjoys cozying up for naps on quieter days. Hades is potty trained, has excellent recall, and walks beautifully on a leash without pulling. Being people-oriented, he prefers to stay close to his humans and may bark when separated. A fenced yard is essential for him to play safely as he grows. However, it's important to note that Hades is not good with children and has a tendency to chase cats and small animals. Getting neutered soon, Hades is already vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He deserves a family that will provide the love, patience, and structure he needs as he matures into an incredible adult.
