About Cyrus
Cyrus lives in Fort Walton Beach, FL, and he’s looking for someone ready for the full Great Dane experience: big love, bigger cuddles, and absolutely no personal space. Two years old and tipping the scales at 140 pounds, this black, short-coated lap dog is certain your hands were designed just for him. Cyrus specializes in walks, hugs, couch snuggles, and heart-melting greetings—after all, if you left the room it was too long. He’s house trained and does well with children. His devotion is dramatic and constant: if you want a shadow, you’ve found it. Cyrus enjoys an active home life, wants to tag along on every adventure, and never passes up a car ride or new friend. He’s primarily focused on people but, with a proper intro, gets along with other dogs; cats remain a mystery. He isn’t a fan of the crate and truly needs a fenced yard. Leash skills and recall are workable, but you’ll need arm strength when excitement hits. He has a harmless small cyst on his front paw. Anyone who knows giant breeds—and doesn’t mind being used as furniture—will appreciate him. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $400. Approved adopters must pick him up in person from his foster home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Cyrus
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Cyrus, as a Great Dane, benefits from access to a securely fenced yard where he can move around safely. While he doesn't need to run for hours, he does require enough outdoor space to roam, play, and relax.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Great Danes like Cyrus tend to be gentle giants and are usually excellent with children. They love being part of the family and often enjoy interactions and playtime with kids, though supervision is wise due to their size.
