About Jersey

Jersey may have a bit of gray on her muzzle, but that doesn’t slow her down. She’s a spunky, energetic Great Dane who’s made her mark in foster care for over a year now. Jersey will keep you entertained with her diva attitude and sassy streak but, underneath, she’s soft-hearted with plenty of affection to spare. She lives with two other Danes and tolerates them if they don’t get in her face, but Jersey would much prefer calm, older canine friends or being the solo star in her home. Puppy energy isn’t her thing, but she’s never shown aggression—she just has her own way of interacting with dogs. Jersey should skip homes with cats due to her prey drive, and would thrive in a family who gives her lots of attention. This girl lives for treats and mealtimes, and came back from being underweight thanks to her hearty appetite. Jersey loves to snuggle up but is happy to retreat to her own bed for quiet time. She’s house trained, kennel trained, and good on a leash, but has zero recall—keep that leash handy if you don’t have a fenced yard. When she’s not shadowing her people, Jersey enjoys car rides and sunbathing, and doesn’t mind alerting you to any critters she spots in the yard. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm-free, microchipped, and living her best foster life in Pensacola, FL. Adopters are required to visit her in person if approved. What are you waiting for?
