Her original family never showed, but thanks to dedicated volunteers she’s safe and settled in a warm foster home, waiting for the kind of future she deserves. Emma barely makes a sound—her foster has heard her bark just once. She’s gentle, loving, and happiest leaning into her person for comfort. Playtime with her canine foster sister brings her joy, but a walk and a sprint around the yard are just as satisfying. Emma’s flexible; content as a solo companion or amid other dogs. She’s proven gentle with children of all ages. Indoors, Emma’s impeccably behaved: no accidents, no destruction—she’s earned the privilege of free run of the home. She’s spayed, healthy, heartworm negative, and stands tall at about 120 pounds. Emma’s coat is a soft fawn with a black mask and ears you’ll want to keep petting. On leash, she’s polite and responsive, and she already knows basic commands. Food and treats are a clear motivator—she learned her name in hours, but she’ll still swipe any bread or pastry she finds. Her long legs give her easy reach to kitchen counters. She has gracefully jumped a four-foot gate for a neighborhood visit, but returns immediately when called. Emma cringes if approached too quickly and seems wary of objects like brooms or mops; a quiet, patient home will help her build trust.
