Suzy is a 7-year-old black Great Dane with a storied past and a big presence. She came from tough beginnings—neglect, hunger, illness—but has managed to keep her royal composure and sense of humor through it all. Suzy knows she runs the show and keeps her pack in line, especially the resident Great Danes in her foster home. She’s now discovered the joys of indoor life, and with her people, she’s a gentle affectionate soul who asks for butt scratches and head rubs. She is entirely house trained and has surprisingly good house manners for a dog her size. Out on walks, Suzy does fine on a leash, though she sometimes needs a reminder not to take charge of the whole parade—she responds well to a gentle leader harness.
