At heart, he’s a couch potato who occasionally loves to race around the house. He enjoys being with his people, following them closely as their devoted four-legged supervisor. This gentle giant has been fantastic with the three kids in his foster home, handling their affections with ease. Surprisingly, he’s rarely a jumper. Denver is house-trained and walks beautifully on a leash, showing little concern for barking neighbors or other dogs during walks. He doesn’t seem to have much of a prey drive, making him a calm presence even around squirrels and lizards. Though not food-driven, he’s learned to enjoy meals more with a little help from Freshpet and salmon oil. Bath time is a breeze for him; Denver walks right into the shower like a champ. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys—to him, lounging on the couch seems far more appealing. Denver has a quirky habit of groaning when he gets up or lies down, which only adds to his charm.
