Asia is a lovely, easygoing Beagle who thrives in a calm environment. She enjoys a simple life and is well-mannered, making her a perfect companion for someone seeking a laid-back dog. Asia's food motivation shines through as she takes treats delicately from your fingers, bringing a smile to anyone's face. A wonderful walking buddy, she greets new people with calm friendliness, charming everyone she meets. While Asia generally prefers her own space, she can show bursts of playful silliness with her foster’s resident dog. She’s independent, not overly interested in toys or constant affection, but enjoys a cuddle on the couch now and then. While she's excellent in her crate and sleeps peacefully through the night, house training is still a work in progress. Patience is a must for her adopter. Most importantly, Asia requires a cat-free home due to her strong fixation on them. A calm home where she can find comfort and affection will allow her to truly thrive. With a good walk and cozy spot to nap, she will be a happy girl! Currently heartworm positive, Asia will begin treatment soon but can still enjoy temporary stays with a family who can follow activity restrictions and provide necessary medication.
