Peaches IV is a sweet female beagle who found her way to a shelter in Alabama, likely after being used for breeding. She’s gaining weight and enjoys her meals, often doing a happy dance when it's time to eat. As a laid-back dog, her favorite spot is the couch, where she can be heard snoring contentedly. Other dogs bring her joy, and she's been great with the dog in her foster home, sharing toys and playing together. While we’re unsure about her relationship with cats, she shows no sign of having a strong prey drive. Peaches is friendly but a bit shy when meeting new people, often crouching at first before accepting pets, especially from children aged 5 to 8, whom she adores after a little warming up. On a leash, she performs well and has made significant progress in house training. Although she's had limited crating, she does well being left alone in a kitchen behind a baby gate. With a calm energy level, Peaches enjoys her outdoor adventures, showing curiosity in her explorations. Currently, she's heartworm positive and scheduled for treatment soon.
