AvailableAbout Pooh
Pooh has come a long way since first arriving in foster care. He started out scared and unsure of people, but gentle direction and patience have helped him open up. Slow movements and a calm environment still suit him best. Pooh really blossoms with other dogs and gets a huge boost from having a canine playmate—he’s full of tail wags, bounces, and clear happiness when with another dog he trusts. He also does well with cats and would fit into a home with children 12 and up who understand shy animals. A fenced yard is important for Pooh, since he loves being outdoors and is much more relaxed under the sky, sniffing or watching birds. The fence offers safety, as Pooh could try to escape if startled until he feels secure. He’s house trained and up to date on vaccines. While Pooh is being treated for heartworm (showing no symptoms, treatment underway), recovery is expected to be straightforward. Pooh’s story is one of steady improvement—he still needs gentle guidance, but he clearly wants to bond. With a caring adopter willing to invest in his growth, Pooh’s best days are ahead. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
