About Pogo
Meet Pogo! This sweet boy, a Siberian Husky, was found wandering near the freeway and picked up by a kind-hearted soul. His journey took a tough turn at the county shelter, where he faced e-listing due to flight risk behaviors. Poor Pogo was simply overwhelmed. Fortunately, he’s now safe in rescue. After a few weeks in his foster home, Pogo began to relax. He greets his family with excitement and loves to chat when he’s happy! His foster describes him as a snuggly companion, often leaning into her for affection. Pogo walks well on a leash and enjoys bike rides. Even better, he’s housebroken! When he's in a good mood, he becomes bouncy and playful. Pogo needs a patient adopter who can help boost his confidence and manage his separation anxiety. When left alone for extended times, he has shown some chewing behaviors due to nervousness, not malice. While he can be a bit shy around new dogs, he has not shown aggression toward them but prefers a home without small animals due to his prey drive. Positive reinforcement techniques work wonders with him. Pogo can thrive in either a busy or more serene environment, as long as he receives love and companionship. He enjoys being around other dogs and could do well with respectful children who understand dog body language. This gentle soul is eager to find his forever family and never feel alone again.
