About Chance
Chance is a 3-year-old husky/cattle dog mix whose first years were spent among 50 other huskies in a chaotic hoarding situation. Since coming into rescue, he's learned to savor affection and adapt to home life, showing a strong, resilient spirit. At first, Chance was shy, but with patience, he warmed up fast in his foster home, revealing a playful, affectionate nature that’s classic husky: loves walks, fetch, belly rubs, and curling up next to people. He’s smart, has mastered the doggy door, and can be an escape artist—standard husky mischief—so a sturdy crate is a must. Chance is house trained and handles separation better now, showing no destructive habits when left out; the right structure goes a long way. He currently lives with other large dogs and, with guidance, is learning to share space. He can sometimes be selective with canine friends but overall enjoys company and progress is clear. Ideal homes can be busy or quiet as long as someone’s willing to give him love and a routine. Chance would do well with kids 7+ who understand respectful boundaries, and while he’d enjoy a playful dog buddy, he could also thrive as a solo dog if the people fill his need for companionship.
