AvailableJameson is a medium-sized, black and white Siberian Husky with a medium-length coat, currently in Scottsdale, AZ. He’s an adult male, neutered and fully vaccinated. Jameson is house trained and lives with manageable special needs from surviving distemper as a puppy.
About Jameson
Jameson has been waiting for a year for the right person to come along. He came into rescue terrified but quickly showed how much love and goofiness he brings to the table. As a distemper survivor, Jameson has physical quirks—a slightly out tongue, a bit of a wobble on stairs, and teeth that show his history. He’s fast on his feet outside, ready to play in the yard, chase lizards, or romp with other large dogs. Small dogs might work too, but that’s untested. He loves walks and rarely pulls, and he tends to respect fences. Jameson thrives on positive reinforcement and is food motivated. He had some resource-guarding issues around treats in the past, but he’s made real progress with training—he hasn’t had an incident since his board-and-train and now takes gentle correction well. He responds to commands, even if it takes a little time for his body to catch up with his brain. He does well crated but much prefers open space and gets vocal in confined areas. He’s affectionate and likes to cuddle up once he trusts you and really enjoys having another active dog around. Teenagers and adults are fine, but he’s not a fit for young children. Jameson’s a classic husky in his love for singing and his independence but he genuinely wants to please. If you need a high-energy, loving dog who’ll reward your patience, Jameson could be your adventure buddy. Click apply to start the adoption process.
