About Xena
Meet Xena, a young Siberian Husky and Australian Cattle Dog mix rescued along with dozens of others from a large hoarding situation in Navajo County. Though her beginnings were rough, Xena’s personality stands out—she’s playful, smart, and remarkably resilient. The first night at her foster home she was nervous, but she quickly settled in, showing notable resourcefulness and food motivation. Xena managed the doggie door in under half an hour and has had zero accidents since arriving. She’s not familiar with crates, but she is totally house trained and adapts fast. Xena gets along well with dogs of all sizes and does great around children, especially those ages three and up. Her hearing isn’t perfect—she catches higher pitches and louder sounds—but she seems unbothered and navigates daily life just fine. She hasn’t shown any destructive habits like chewing or counter surfing, though as a puppy, she could develop new quirks as she continues to grow. Climbing is her thing; she can scale patio furniture but behaves herself in the house, so solid fencing is important for her. Xena loves meal times, belly rubs, and curling up on feet. She’s ready for her forever home and for a family that can offer her daily walks, playtime, and affection. Your next adventure could be with Xena. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
