About Chloe

Chloe is a 3-year-old husky mix who survived a rough start, coming from a large hoarding case and a stressful shelter transfer. Her first days were tense—labeled aggressive, but really just scared and shut down after a frightening escape and capture. Once safe in her foster home, Chloe showed her true side: sweet, gentle, and craving affection from people she trusts. It took her a few weeks to decompress and adjust, but Chloe integrated into a home with five other dogs and found her groove. She enjoys walks (double leashed for safety), relaxing car rides, and splashing in the kiddie pool. She’s still learning how to play like the other dogs, but her goofy, happy personality is coming forward—she loves chasing bugs and dozing under a desk while someone works. There’s even a deer that visits her at the fence. Chloe has some separation anxiety and likes to guard her food, so structure and gradual introductions make a big difference for her. She thrives with other confident dogs and is happiest with a canine friend or two, but won’t do well with cats, small dogs, or young children due to her history and prey drive. She needs a patient adopter who will give her time as she adjusts to new faces and routines. With steady love and encouragement, Chloe will keep blossoming into a wonderful, devoted companion.
