About Bear
Bear is a 68-lb, 2-3-year-old neutered male German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix currently staying with his foster caretakers in Granite Bay, CA. He is affectionate, energetic, and well-tempered, with all core vaccinations up to date and microchipped. This friendly dog gets along well with everyone he meets after proper introductions, and he alarm-barks when strangers approach the home. Living with two young children, aged 6 and 12, Bear has shown he can be gentle and playful. He has a great relationship with the 4-year-old male GSD in his foster home, so he'd prefer a companion dog, ideally one close to his size. Bear also cohabitates with two cats and does just fine with them. However, he has a strong instinct around chickens and should not be in a home with them. House-trained and non-destructive, Bear enjoys car rides but could use a bit of training for better manners inside the vehicle. His playful nature shows in his tug-of-war games with his dog buddy, and, while heβs not a fetch enthusiast, he loves to romp around. Bear is a well-mannered young dog in need of some obedience training, especially on the leash.
