About Titan
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Titan is a loving, playful, and intelligent seven-year-old German Shepherd Dog looking for a special home. He is neutered, healthy, and up-to-date on core vaccinations. Titan is best for an adult-only household or homes with children over 12, as he gets overly excited by young children's bustling energy and can become nippy if startled during play or if unfamiliar people move too quickly around him. Proper introductions are key to his comfort around strangers. When it comes to other dogs, Titan's preferences are complex. He does best with slow introductions and is not overly dog-social but can coexist with confident dogs if introduced carefully. However, he should never be placed with small dogs. His interactions with cats have been limited and controlled; he shows curiosity but has never shown aggression, though any future cat sibling should be dog-savvy and introductions managed thoughtfully. Titan is house trained, crate-trained, and routinely enjoys having the run of the house when alone. He's received extensive professional training, demonstrates great leash manners, and knows multiple commands, though he may become distracted. Some anxiety-related behaviors, like chasing light reflections and being fearful of thunder, are part of his personality. Titan rides in the car but can become anxious if left alone inside. He thrives in active play, loving fetch, tug-of-war, treat searches, and swimming. Titan's deep bond with his current family is apparent, but due to challenges with young children in the home, he is now seeking a loving new environment to call his own. Currently, Titan is located in Foresthill, CA with a $100 adoption fee. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

German Shepherd Dogs thrive in active households with plenty of space and opportunities for both mental and physical stimulation. They do best in homes with owners who are able to spend quality time training, exercising, and engaging them daily.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
German Shepherd Dogs benefit from a house with a fenced yard where they can run and play safely, but they can adapt to various environments as long as their high exercise needs are met through regular walks and playtime.

German Shepherd Dogs can be very good with children when properly socialized and trained, but their size and exuberant energy mean supervision is important, especially around very young children.
