About Dorothy
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Dorothy is a large and lively German Shepherd Dog currently looking for a loving home. She is approximately 7 years old and weighs about 90 lbs. Dorothy has been patiently waiting at the Sacramento County shelter since January 24. Due to overcrowding and increasing kennel stress, she is now urgently in need of adoption or rescue, or she risks being euthanized after March 19. Dorothy is known to do well with other dogs, and though a little testy due to her extended shelter stay, it’s expected she’ll return to her relaxed self in the comfort of a home. She enjoys playing fetch, is energetic, and eager for daily walks. This friendly girl responds well to basic commands and appears to be housetrained. Her adoption fee, which includes her spaying, is waived, making it easier to welcome Dorothy into your family. Give her the second chance she deserves and visit the shelter to meet her in person. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
