Maximus is a 7-year-old neutered male German Shepherd Dog who weighs about 85 lbs and lives in Folsom. Loyal and protective, he forms a strong bond with those he trusts and is affectionate with his family. Maximus is always on alert and will bark appropriately when strangers come by, but settles down with a proper introduction. He lives with young kids (ages 1½ and 4½) and does well with them. Maximus gets along with other dogs, though he tends to be timid and prefers calm, small-group settings over crowded dog parks. He hasn't been tested with cats.
