About Millie

Millie is a striking, AKC-registered German Shepherd, three and a half years old and about 65 pounds. She’s a sweet, silly, and deeply protective companion who sees it as her job to look after her people, especially in the home. Out on walks or away from home, she greets people politely, but indoors she’ll need to be crated when new visitors come in—her protective side kicks in fast. She’d thrive with someone who has room for her to run and would appreciate her devotion. Millie has a strong foundation from early obedience training and is reliably house trained, with free roam when left alone for several hours. Her leash manners are solid, and she’ll ignore other dogs she sees on walks. She’s playful, loves a ball, and enjoys doggy daycare with medium and large dogs, but she’s not good with small dogs or cats. Recent incidents in her home have shown she’s not comfortable living with children, so a child-free household is a must. She rides calmly in the car and remains healthy, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines. Millie’s current family has found the stress of keeping her separated from kids and visitors to be too much and hopes to find her a more suitable match. She’s in Santa Rosa and waiting for someone ready to let her be herself. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
