About Donna
Donna is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix with a lovable, energetic personality who is currently being fostered in Brentwood, Northern California. Around 65 lbs with a striking brindle-touched coat, she is both spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Donna dotes on her people, handing out gentle kisses and enjoying nothing more than curling up with her head in your lap. She’s shown a gentle side with children ages 7-12 and has no signs of resource guarding. Donna is house trained, behaves well in a crate, and loves her daily walks (especially if they include a good jog). She’s food-motivated and a quick learner, but loud noises can rattle her, so she does best in a calm, stable environment. Donna loves car rides, new adventures, and goofy play sessions with toys—she will definitely keep her new family entertained. While she is friendly with visitors, Donna can be leash reactive to other dogs, people, and bicycles. She has made progress with patient training and needs someone consistent and experienced to continue her socialization. Interactions with other dogs have been limited; she may live with another dog given more exposure and the right leadership, but she is probably not a candidate for a home with cats. Donna is looking for a committed adopter to guide her in her next chapter as her foster is moving soon. Your new best friend is just one click away.
