Meet Sparrow, a delightful young lady searching for a patient and loving family. At about 2 years old and weighing around 11 lbs, this sweet little soul is on her way to thriving after being taken in by Mostly Mutts. Sparrow has gained weight and looks fantastic, though some of her earlier pictures may show her thin. Sparrow is doing well with the two small dogs in her foster home, but she's learning to manage her resource guarding behavior regarding laps, couches, and toys. If you have other dogs, a meet-and-greet will be essential. While she prefers to play with humans rather than cats—she's definitely got a curious chase instinct—she might do best in a home without feline friends. Kids could initially startle her, so older, calm children might be a better fit. With a sweet temperament, Sparrow's energy level has recently increased to around a 5 or 7 on a scale, thanks to her comfort in the foster home. She adores cuddling up with her people and enjoys being close for affection. She’s making progress with her house manners and is learning commands like 'leave it' and 'drop it'. Sparrow would benefit from a family that’s home more often, as she dislikes being left alone.
