Around 10 years old and approximately 28 lbs, Meeko came from animal control and is now thriving thanks to caring volunteers and his foster family. He’s eagerly waiting for a forever home filled with love and comfort. Meeko would love to be the only dog in your household. While he doesn’t react to dogs he sees on walks, he prefers all the attention for himself and has shown a bit of prey drive, so he’s best without smaller pets. Around children, Meeko can be a bit nervous, so a home with kids aged 15 and up may suit him best. Despite his age, Meeko is still playful, spunky, and enjoys cuddles and snuggles with his people. He isn’t shy and will let you know when he wants attention, so a house (rather than an apartment or condo) is likely the best fit. He knows several basic commands, walks well on a leash, and loves to carry his favorite stuffy toy on outings. Meeko has good crate and potty habits and is treat-motivated, ready to learn even more tricks! He delights in play sessions, fetch, and chewing on toys. Peanut butter-filled Kongs and walks are among his favorite things, and he loves cozying up in a comfy bed. Meeko is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.
