About Rae
Rae is a gentle, quiet terrier/chihuahua mix who has weathered some tough times but hasn't lost her sweet, calm spirit. After coming from a neglectful situation with three other dogs, animal control and then rescue helped get her to better health. Now, she’s ready for a home where she can finally relax and soak up the care she deserves. Rae is about 10 years old and pretty tiny, currently living peacefully with other dogs in her foster home. She mostly keeps to herself and would do well with another calm dog who isn’t looking for playtime. Rae isn’t a lap pet, but she loves attention, ear scratches, and gentle handling. She’d do best with older children who respect her small size and advanced age. Rae is hard of hearing, and she responds best to louder sounds or visual cues like a hand signal or a tapped leg. She’s not fond of crates but adjusts to small spaces at night, and her potty habits are progressing steadily. Rae is affectionate on her terms and likes short walks, exploring at her own slow pace. She has some vision loss but finds her way around. She enjoys soft treats, sunning after baths, and the kind of attention that comes without chaos. Rae is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and medically up to date, including recent dental work and mammary mass removal. If you want a sweet companion for a quiet home, Rae could be the one.
