About Josie
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Josie, a fun-loving and energetic gal who’s ready to find her perfect family! At approximately 6 years old and 35 pounds, Josie found herself in need of a fresh start and quickly charmed her way into the hearts of the rescue team. While she’s settled nicely into her foster home, Josie is seeking a family that shares her lively spirit and can keep up with her zest for play and adventure. Josie prefers to be the only dog in her home, and it's best for her not to live with cats. She hasn’t met children at her foster’s home yet, but older kids (about 10 and up) may be a good fit as she enjoys gentle, mouthy play. Josie’s personality shines with her sweet, affectionate, and playful demeanor—her floppy ears and nubby tail add a dash of cuteness to her already endearing presence. She’s also a proud graduate of a basic training program, mastering commands like 'sit,' 'stay,' and 'come,' and possesses great leash manners. Josie finds comfort in her crate and is reliably house trained, too. Playtime is her favorite, especially in the yard doing zoomies or a rousing game of tug-of-war! She’s very focused on toys, so a slow introduction to her toy collection and a slow feeder at mealtimes are ideal for her happiness and health. She prefers calm walking paths, is not fond of bicycles or vacuums, and is currently on a mild medication to help with her toy-related excitement. With her vaccinations up to date, microchipped, and spayed, Josie is ready for all the adventures and snuggles her new family can offer! She’s located in Kennesaw, GA, and is looking forward to making amazing memories with a loving, active household. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
