Her journey hasn’t been straightforward; Josie landed at animal control before joining the shelter, picked up quickly by Mostly Mutts where she settled in and impressed everyone with her smarts and lively personality. After attending an off-site training program, Josie briefly found a home but her high energy meant it wasn’t the right fit, so she’s back, now living in foster care and waiting for a family eager for adventure and companionship. Josie adores people and has a playful, affectionate, and sometimes mouthy style of play, never rough or mean—just enthusiastic. She struggles to get along with other dogs and cats, so she needs to be the only pet in the household. Her foster suggests she might do well with older, respectful kids (about 10+) who can handle her spirited zoomies and occasional playful nibbling. Josie is also crate trained, house trained, and knows an impressive list of basic commands.
