Meet Newton! This sweet boy is one of several husky mixes rescued from a hoarding situation in the summer of 2025. Although he found a home after being adopted at five months old, he's back in our care due to the tragic loss of his adopter. Now he's ready to find his forever family. Initially a bit shy, Newton has come a long way in his foster home, showing his gentle personality and love for cuddles. He enjoys playing with other dogs, relishes belly rubs, and is great about settling in a crate. Newton walks nicely on a leash and is house trained, making him a companion who would fit well into many situations. He previously lived on a farm, so he gets along well with both dogs and cats, as well as other animals like goats and even chickens. To continue his progress, Newton would benefit from an owner who can provide consistent training and guidance, especially around redirecting his chewing habits. Newton appreciates having another dog around, and with a little extra attention and love, he can thrive in a new home. He has a mellow demeanor, is affectionate, and is eager to share his loyalty.
