He weighs about 80 pounds and has a striking black and tan medium-length coat. Currently living with his owners, Bear is in Antelope, CA and benefits from being up to date on all core vaccinations. Bear enjoys interacting with people and is generally friendly once he has a few moments to settle into new introductions indoors. On walks, his reactions to people can range from welcoming attention to vocalizing with barks or growls. His experience with children is limited, so introductions should be handled thoughtfully. Bear must be the only animal in the home, as he does not get along with other dogs or cats. He can be reactive, particularly on leash or in dog parks, and his current family needs to keep him separated from their cats. Inside the house, Bear has great manners, is house trained, and can be crated comfortably for a couple of hours when his family is out. He’s had professional obedience training and is generally well-behaved on leash unless other animals are present. Bear also loves car rides, food puzzles, and playing with his favorite toys—including flirt poles, tennis balls, and squeaky toys. Unfortunately, despite their love for him, his adoptive family is unable to safely integrate him with the household cats, prompting their search for a new home where Bear can thrive as the only pet.
