Meet Wolfgang, lovingly nicknamed Wolfy! This 10-12 week old shepherd mix had a rough start after arriving at the Barstow shelter as a stray, where he was struggling with puppy strangles and needed extra care. Luckily, a friend alerted us and a wonderful vet tech stepped up to foster him. With the medication that he’s so desperately needed, and lots of TLC, Wolfy has been thriving! The swelling on his face and his skin issues have already improved so much, and he’s well on his way to a full recovery. Wolfy is currently living the good life in foster care with adult dogs, cats, and three kids of different ages, and he loves everyone. With the dogs and kids, he’s playful and a little shadow who happily follows them around all day looking for the next game. He and the cats mostly just coexist and politely ignore each other, which works perfectly for Wolfy. His skin should be back to normal within the next few weeks. Despite what he has been through, Wolfy is a loving, playful puppy who’s ready to find a family to grow up with - preferably one that doesn’t mind having an adorable little sidekick tagging along everywhere!
