Meet Luau, A Shy Beauty Waiting for the Right Heart to Understand Her 🐾🌺 Luau is a 3 year old shepherd/boxer/pit mix who has spent most of her life in our care. She came to us as a young puppy and, despite being safe and loved, she’s always carried a deep sensitivity to the world around her. She’s never fully come out of her shell, but for those she trusts, Luau is the most loving, gentle soul you could ever meet! She adores cuddles, melts for kisses, and finds comfort in soft stuffed toys, which she carries around like little treasures. Though shy and easily overwhelmed by new people or experiences, Luau shows her true heart once she bonds with someone. With those she knows, she’s affectionate, loyal, and incredibly sweet, often seeking out snuggles and leaning in close for quiet connection. Her fear doesn’t come from aggression, but from uncertainty, and she would love a kind, patient adopter who can help her feel safe without rushing her progress. Connect and trust can take a little time, but is worth every moment. Luau is looking for a very special person; someone who sees beyond the nervous exterior and recognizes the deep, tender love she has to offer. Once luau comes out of her shell and starts making friends with other dogs, she really shows her playful and loving side.
