About Sister
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Sister! Sister has faced hardships beyond what most dogs ever experience. After giving birth as a stray in Lancaster, she was taken in by another rescue but sadly separated from her puppies and left to fend for herself in the desert again, still unfixed. Soon after, she became a young mom once more. When Sister finally found her way to our care, she was around two years old—now closer to three—and understandably fearful of people and her surroundings. We recognized Sister would benefit from specialized support and arranged for her to work with a trainer who helps fearful dogs. The progress she's made is truly inspiring. After just a week of professional training, Sister has started to embrace the joys of indoor life—enjoying cozy beds, crates, toys, and even gentle play with the other dog in her foster home. She has transformed into a loving, unique companion and has even begun to welcome affection from people. Sweet, gentle, and strikingly beautiful, Sister is not your average Golden Retriever. She'll need a patient and understanding family who can help her continue blossoming at her own pace. Sister adores the company of other dogs, so a dog-friendly home would be ideal. She's come so far and is finally ready to join a family who will give her all the love she's missed. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
