Meet Riley Riley is a 9-month-old male Shepherd mix who came to the Lancaster shelter as an owner surrender on November 1st. He weighs about 30 pounds now and is expected to grow to roughly 50–60 pounds as an adult. Handsome, alert, and full of youthful sweetness, Riley is already showing what a wonderful companion he’ll become. Even though he’s new to our rescue and we’re still discovering his full personality, he has been nothing but kind, playful, and gentle in his foster home. On his very first night, he slept through the night in his crate which is an amazing start for an older puppy. Riley’s life changed thanks to a dedicated foster who couldn’t shake the feeling that he and his sister deserved better. She stepped up to give him safety, stability, and a chance at a loving forever home. He is up-to-date with his intake vaccinations and is microchipped. As he continues to decompress and settle in, we know his confidence and personality will shine even brighter.
