She’s especially motivated by food and treats. Mealtime is one of her favorite times of day and a great way to build a connection with her. Dolce was rescued from a massive colony of over 60 stray dogs in the Lucerne Valley, where she had little human interaction but showed signs of eagerness to connect. These dogs were living in harsh conditions, just barely surviving, yet Dolce’s kind and sensitive nature still shines through. She and her sister are Parvo survivors on top of everything else that life has thrown at her. She has come a long way already and would do best in a calm, patient home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog to help guide her. Like her sister, Dolce has never been walked on a leash, so a secure yard is essential as she gains confidence and learns the routines of home life.
