About Hank

Meet Hank, formerly known as Pollux, who joined us back in April 2021. Hank came to us after he and two other dogs were found roaming in East Texas, taking a break at a sheep farm. The local livestock guardians kicked them out, leading to their rescue. We’ve since ensured they received the veterinary care they needed, and all were adopted as working livestock guardians. Hank's role has been to protect chickens and other fowl. This large male seems to be an Anatolian Shepherd mixed with either Akbash or Great Pyrenees. After a good five years, the family who adopted him could no longer keep him but honored their commitment by bringing him back to us. Now, Hank is thriving in our pasture with Nigerian Dwarf goats, and he gets along well with other dogs there. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
