About Mouse King

Mouse King comes from the Nutcracker Suite litter and takes after his father, a purebred Komondor, with a bit of Anatolian Shepherd from his mom. He was raised early on among chickens, ducks, geese, goats, barn cats, dogs, and plenty of other animals—which gave him an easy comfort around other creatures. As a very young puppy, a goat head-butt resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Now, Mouse King seems healthy and sturdy, but his learning pace is behind his siblings; for instance, he’s interested in treats but doesn’t really catch on to commands like SIT. He’s playful—sometimes too rambunctious for the crowd, but if another dog sets a boundary, he backs down quickly and knows how to settle when inside. Mouse King isn’t cut out to be a livestock guardian, but he’d make a rewarding companion on a small homestead or in a suburban home, ideally with another playful dog to show him the ropes. He adapts with reasonable guidance and just needs someone with patience and a flexible mindset who will love him as he is—without weighing him down with strict training or expectations. Your heart for special needs pups would go a long way for him. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
