About Tracer

Tracer is an outgoing, people-loving dog with a solid background as a livestock guardian (just don't ask him about chickens—he wasn't a fan). When he joined the rescue, it was clear right away that normal fences wouldn't cut it; Tracer can clear a 5-foot fence and even scale a 6-foot chain link, so he needs a home where he'll be closely supervised outside, or, ideally, one with an 8-foot or taller fence. Inside, he's quick to settle into 'couch potato mode,' but he still craves as much outdoor time as you'll allow—just needs a watchful eye. Tracer does well with other dogs of all ages and has been known to share his food with the resident barn cats, proving he's great with cats too. He's playful and affectionate, always up for canine company. For the right adopter—a dedicated supervisor or experienced fence-fortifier—Tracer will be just about perfect. The rescue takes his climbing habit seriously, so only thoughtful adopters should apply. Click apply to start the adoption process.
