About Bastrop
Bastrop, also known as Philip Henri, Baron de Bastrop, is a striking young dog who narrowly escaped an uncertain future alongside his sisters at a Texas shelter. He’s likely an Anatolian Shepherd, possibly mixed with Kangal, so he’s set to be a massive, impressive companion—expect over 110 lbs when fully grown. He grew up surrounded by his siblings, other dogs, and even spent some time around chickens and sheep, though always under supervision. These early experiences have helped shape him into a social, confident pup who loves making a splash in water, whether it’s a kiddy pool or a creek. Bastrop has all the essentials sorted: he’s neutered and his vaccinations are up to date. He has plenty of puppy energy left and flourishes with canine playmates and exploration. He does especially well around other dogs, and loves any opportunity for play. During his photo shoot, he was briefly on a tie-out just to get a few good shots, but he’s happiest running freely in a big yard or paddock. If you want a large-hearted, friendly, and adventurous companion, Bastrop is ready to meet you. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
