Meet Diva! This 6.5-pound Yorkie mix brings a big personality into a small package. At just 1 year old, she is as spunky and curious as they come, ready to find her forever family. After coming to Prairie Paws Rescue as an owner surrender, Diva quickly made herself right at home with her foster family. One of her favorite activities is snuggling. She loves being close to her people, soaking up their attention. Diva's little watchdog instincts kick in when she hears new sounds, and she'll bark to let you know something's up. She plays well with other small dogs and is currently learning to interact with the resident cats in her foster home. Since she hasn’t been around young children, a home with older, respectful kids would likely suit her best. Diva's dental health isn't the best for her age, but she'll receive a dental cleaning during her spay surgery, setting her up for a happier life. While she may have spent a lot of time in a crate previously, these days she prefers being part of the action and enjoys staying close to her foster family. However, she does stay in her crate when they are away for up to 45 hours and overnight. House training is still a work in progress, so her new family will need to help her develop a good routine, using patience and consistency. Diva might be small, but her huge heart and big personality will undoubtedly keep you smiling.
