About Jasper
Meet Jasper, a charming 55-pound Hound mix, estimated to be around 2–3 years old. Jasper's journey began as a stray, hiding in tall grass, frightened and timid. Rescued by Animal Control, he exhibited signs of a past that had left him wary of people, but Prairie Paws Rescue saw beyond that fear. With a dedicated foster family, he's slowly starting to feel safe and slowly discovering the kindness in humans. As Jasper settles into his foster home, moments of his true personality are beginning to emerge. He enjoys gentle companionship with adults, and while he is still unsure about children, a calm, adult-only environment might be the best fit for him. Jasper's new adopter will need to be patient, allowing him to build trust at his own pace. Though he still has much to learn, he holds immense potential to blossom in a loving environment. Jasper is making progress, and with continued care, we believe he can be the joyful dog he was always meant to be. Could you be the one to show Jasper a kinder world? His adoption will include all necessary medical work, and the fee is set at $215 plus tax. Start the journey to bring Jasper home and demonstrate that love can conquer fear. What are you waiting for?
