Meet Jango! He’s an adorable male Shih Tzu mix, born on August 2, 2020, weighing about 12.5 pounds. Jango has a playful spirit and is best friends with his buddy Chewie. Together, they came to Prairie Paws Rescue after being on the euthanasia list at a local pound. Thankfully, they've received a second chance and are now on the lookout for their forever home. After arriving, Jango needed serious grooming since his coat was severely matted. He's looking and feeling much better now, but his future family should expect regular grooming for this kind of fur. It's an investment that comes with owning a Shih Tzu mix. He has recently been neutered and is learning a routine for house training. While he's still a work in progress, Jango manages to keep his kennel clean for up to five hours, so consistency and patience will help him adapt. Jango's personality is irresistible. He knows how to beg for treats, even waving his little paws to get your attention! He loves playing with toys and gets excited when he sees a leash—perfect for little adventures. Though Jango and Chewie get along well, they can sometimes boss around other small dogs. It’s advised to monitor introductions if there is already another dog in the home, or better yet, they'd thrive as the only two dogs. Jango is hoping to find a loving family willing to provide the attention he deserves. His adoption fee is $215, covering all medical care, including neutering and vaccinations.
