About Chuckie
Meet Chuckie. At 11 years old, this small Yorkshire Terrier has already weathered his share of tough breaks, but his quiet resilience deserves a second look. Chuckie landed at Prairie Paws Rescue after someone tried to give him away online—he showed up scared and struggling, with matted fur and painful teeth. After some patience and calm reassurance from his foster, Chuckie started to relax and show his gentle personality. He’s now sporting a fresh haircut and, post-dental, is down to two teeth. Chuckie loves his soft food and doesn’t let partial blindness slow him down—his other senses pick up the slack, and he’s always quick to notice when food’s being served or a delivery arrives. Chuckie would do best in a calm, warm home with someone willing to offer him gentle care and understanding through his senior years. He gets along with other dogs and cats, asking only for a soft place to nap and a reliable companion. All his medical care is up to date, and he’s neutered and house trained. If you’re seeking quiet company and don’t mind the quirks that come with age, Chuckie offers loyal, low-maintenance companionship in return. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
