About Scooby

Meet Scooby! This charming male Chihuahua mix was born on August 27, 2024, and finds himself in need of a loving home after a family tragedy left him and his buddy Ryker in rescue. Scooby is a sensitive soul who requires a little time to warm up to new faces and environments. He’s not used to lots of social interactions, so he might initially be a bit wary of strangers. However, with patience and gentle reassurance, Scooby quickly transforms into an affectionate companion eager to bond. In his foster home, Scooby interacts well with other small dogs and is curious about the resident cats. Although he hasn't met children yet, he's on the path to confidence with positive experiences like neighborhood walks and casual outings on a leash. This eager little guy responds well to praise and treats, making training a rewarding experience. Scooby is looking for a patient family that understands his needs and is willing to help him navigate the world with kindness. With the right support, he’ll blossom into a loyal friend. If you think you can provide the love and understanding he deserves, consider making him part of your family. All medical work is completed before adoption, including neutering, vaccinations, and a vet examination. Scooby’s adoption fee is $215 + tax, and pre-adoption applications can be found on Prairie Paws Rescue's website. Prairie Paws Rescue prioritizes finding the best home suited for Scooby's needs, not just the first applicant.
