About Black Jack
Meet Black Jack! This charming 3-year-old Shih-Tzu/Poodle mix found his way to Prairie Paws Rescue after being surrendered by his previous owner. At just 13 pounds and with a curly coat, he is a timid little guy who may take some time to adjust. Black Jack needs a patient family who understands that building trust can be a gradual process. He may shy away from new people and situations, needing gentle encouragement to come out of his shell. Living with other dogs in his foster home, Black Jack sometimes growls to establish boundaries, showing his need for personal space. He could benefit from a refresher course in house training, but he does a good job of keeping his crate clean overnight. A consistent routine will surely help him thrive. One thing to note: Black Jack is a door dasher, so a secure, fenced yard is essential for his safety. This little guy isn't looking for a perfect home right away; he desires patience, consistency, and unconditional love. With the right family, he has the potential to blossom into a loving companion. He’s been neutered, fully vaccinated, and received his grooming—thank you to Lacey at Kona's Edge! Could you be the person to help Black Jack learn how wonderful life can be?
