The Sweet Gentleman of the Floor. Ranger is a beautiful, sweet old soul who perfectly balances the dignity of a mature gentleman with a lingering playful streak. Kind to his core, he is a deeply affectionate companion whose gentle eyes and loving nature immediately win over everyone he meets. He is the ultimate low-maintenance housemate, showing total respect for the home by never jumping on the furniture or claiming the human bed. Instead, he is perfectly content lounging like royalty on his own cozy dog beds, happily hanging out wherever his people are. Don't let his polite indoor manners fool you, though—this handsome senior is surprisingly strong! Ranger is a strong guy, and when a fascinating scent or an exciting destination catches his eye on a walk, his determination takes over. If he decides he wants to go somewhere, he puts that impressive strength to work, keeping his handlers on their toes to avoid being pulled right off their feet. Ranger is a true classic: a gorgeous, well-behaved companion who knows his boundaries at home, but still possesses the strength and youthful spark to chart his own path outdoors. We think Ranger would prefer to have another 4 legged canine companion, a female canine would be even better. He seems to like the girl Aussies in his foster home a little more than the other male Aussie in his foster home, but they co-exist just fine. He is also great with his foster mom's grandkids! He had cats in his previous home and didn't care about the cats. So other dogs, cats and kids would be fine for him in his forever home. He really is just an all around good boy! Ranger is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, negative for all tick borne diseases and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.
