Lainey is being fostered in Augusta MI Introducing Lainey! This stunning red merle blue eyed girlie is just the sweetest thing! Meet Lainey- toy destroyer extraordinaire. Lainey came into rescue and has been learning the ropes as a family dog for the last few months. While it is suspected she spent living most of her life outside in a kennel, she has blossomed into a wonderful, loving dog while in her foster home. She may be timid at first, especially with men...but after a couple of days and a few treats she will warm right up and is sure to be your best friend for life. She is house and crate trained and seems to be dog and cat friendly. After a warm up period she does fine with other dogs and will mostly ignore them until she is comfortable. She is still learning manners so older dog savvy children would be best (Over 12) and would do very well with a single, couple or family that is willing to put a little time to fine tune her training and meeting her where she is emotionally, mentally and physically. She isn't a perfect girl, but she sure is sweet and will make someone a wonderful companion. Lainey is just turning 5 in May this year, weighs approximately 60 pounds with a few more to lose (about 5), and is ready to find her perfect forever family. Lainey is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, negative for all tick borne diseases, microchipped and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.
