About Remi

Remi is fostered in Gross Pointe Woods, MI. Meet Remi - she is one of the sweetest, easiest dogs her foster parents have ever met. Remi came from the hoarding situation in Fort Wayne, IN. She is estimated to be about 3 years of age and approximately 32 lbs. Remi is very content in her crate and goes in willingly, but she's definitely getting more comfortable with the idea that life outside of it too. Remi loves sleeping in a cozy dog bed and has done wonderfully being left out of her crate. She has wonderful house manners. She hasn't had a single accident in the house since coming into rescue. She will go outside and do her business without issue, but she does need regular opportunities to go out or go on walks since we're still learning how long she can comfortably hold it. Remi LOVES to play. She has been wrestling and playing with the resident dog dog and would likely thrive with another playful dog in the home. Remi is medium energy, playful and excitable, but able to settle down nicely for snuggles and naps. Remi absolutely ADORES attention and will soak up every pet and cuddle you give her. We do recomend a physically fenced yard and it would be best if Remi had another confident, social dog in the home. Remi is still learning leash skills so this is an area of continued training. She gets very excited seeing people and dogs and will pull because she truly loves everyone. She shows interest in toys, treats, and chewing bones and is becoming a little more food motivated every day. She will settle and play with a toy or chew on a bone on her own. Remi has been known to check out the counter tops for food, so her foster parenst are still working on this. Overall, Remi is a loving, playful, easy-going girl who deserves a home where she can continue learning what it means to simply be a pampered pooch. Remi is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. She does require a committed adopter who is willing to devote 1 - 2 hours of mental and physical stimulation per day. NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.
