About Champ
Champ is a handsome 2-year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on February 25, 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 60 (by the elementary school building) in Lowell Ohio. Champ was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. Champ has a tan short smooth coat with a patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and a beautiful face with amber-colored eyes, a liver-colored nose, and short semi-erect ears. These photos of Champ were taken on March 6, 2026 when HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied him for outdoor pictures. Champ has the sweetest disposition and begins to wag his tail the moment you make eye contact with him. Champ walked fairly well on a leash for Tracy and wanted attention from her more than anything else in the world. Champ weighed 44 lbs when he entered our shelter on February 25th and definitely needed to gain some much-needed weight to fill out his slim, trim physique. Champ was already beginning to look better just 10 days later thanks to the gourmet meals our amazing HSOV kennel techs have been preparing for him. Champ will be neutered before being adopted by his new family. He could be fostered while he is awaiting his neuter procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.
