About Cocoa Pretzel

Cocoa Pretzel is a senior Pit Bull Terrier mix with a gentle soul and a charming smile. Surrendered alongside her longtime companion, Buddy, Cocoa landed at the shelter through no fault of her own, but she remains sweet and hopeful, always greeting you with warm, trusting eyes. Her mahogany brown and white coat, cream-colored face mask, and a red nose make her stand out, and she’s known for flashing a shy pink tongue when she’s happy. In person, Cocoa’s demeanor is calm and mellow—she’d rather nap curled up in a quiet corner than get involved in any rough-and-tumble games. Her foster family described her as low maintenance and easy to please, content with a soft bed, a treat or two, and lots of naps—she can sleep up to 18 hours a day. Cocoa is fully house and crate trained, although stairs are a challenge for her, so she prefers homes without many of them. She is likely deaf or very hard of hearing, but her sense of calm and contentment isn’t affected. She gets along fine with other gentle dogs but isn’t playful at this stage of life. This quiet old lady is happy with whatever affection and comfort she receives, asking little and giving steady, gentle companionship in return. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Cocoa Pretzel

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Cocoa Pretzel, as a Pit Bull Terrier mix, does best in a calm and stable household, ideally with easy access to a comfy bed for naps. She thrives where she can relax and not be overstimulated, especially given her senior status.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Cocoa Pretzel enjoys a bit of outdoor time for fresh air and gentle walks, but as an older Pit Bull Terrier mix, she doesn't require a large yard. A small backyard or nearby green space is more than enough.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Pit Bull Terrier mixes like Cocoa Pretzel can be gentle and tolerant, especially with children who respect their boundaries. Given Cocoa's age and calm nature, older kids who understand her need for quiet would be ideal.
