Sherwood was found by a Good Samaritan who tried her hardest to find his owner, to no avail, after he was found wandering her neighborhood. We are guessing he is about a 5-year- old malti-poo weighing in at about 12-15 lbs. His finder says he rides well in a car, and loves to be held and be your shadow everywhere you go. He is crate-trained and will sleep quietly there all night. Sherwood is a bit shy and didn't know what to do on leash at first, but he is learning fast. With time and patience, Sherwood should adjust to his new forever home quickly. Sherwood is brand new to the rescue and is awaiting his updated vaccines and neuter, and will be available for adoption soon after. We are accepting applications now. Check back her or on our FB page as we find out more about Sherwood. WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. ADOPTION FEE of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application.
