Gigi
AvailableGigi is a senior female Chihuahua with a short, yellow-tan coat. She is not yet house trained, but she is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Gigi is currently located in Ladson, SC and is looking for someone experienced with small senior dogs who can provide the care and patience she deserves.
About Gigi
Gigi spent most of her life believing she had found her forever home, only to be surrendered at age 12 when her owner's circumstances changed. That loss left her scared and apprehensive; now in foster care, Gigi is trying her best to adjust to her new environment. She’s a small, senior Chihuahua who prefers to be held and isn’t yet comfortable meeting new people, though she’s learning to warm up with gentle encouragement and patience. Gigi is crate-trained and walks acceptably on leash, thanks to years of experience, but still finds big changes overwhelming at the moment. She will soon be vetted from nose to tail, including a dental cleaning and senior bloodwork, to give her the healthiest fresh start possible. Gigi needs a patient adopter ready to help her feel safe, with time to build her trust and work through her timidity. If you can offer her a calm environment and reassurance as she settles in, Gigi could be the loyal companion you’ve been missing. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
