After many years in what she thought was her forever home, Gigi suddenly found herself being surrendered because her owner got pregnant and said she didn't have time for her any more. Gigi is 12 years old and understandably confused and frightened about being uprooted and landing in a foster home. She will be vetted, along with senior bloodwork and a MUCH-needed dental cleaning. She is crate-trained, walks okay on a leash and likes being held. She is currently timid about meeting new people, but we will work on socializing her. Gigi will need a patient new family willing to give her time to adjust. She has only been in rescue a few days, so please check back here and on our FB page for updates. WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. ADOPTION FEE of $265 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application.
