Minnie came to us from a rural rescue organization that found her and her friend, Tootie (also with us) in less-than-ideal conditions. Their owners surrendered them both. Obviously, Minnie won't be available for adoption for a couple of months until after she's weaned potentially 7 puppies and has been spayed. Right now, it seems poor Miss Minnie is just wanting to get the show on the road. She is a bit timid, or maybe just tired, but accepting of new people and environments. She's okay with other dogs and cats, but will be tested again when she's feeling more herself. She is a Yorkie mix about 3 years old. She will be weighed after she gets her girlish figure back, but we can estimate about 10 lbs. Check back here and on our FB page for photos of her babies and for more about Minnie. WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. ADOPTION FEE of $465 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application.
