About Marley
Marley joined the rescue when his previous owner could no longer keep him. He wasted no time settling in with his foster family, claiming his chosen spot on the couch and adjusting to life alongside the resident dogs—though it did take everyone a minute to sort out the new pecking order. Marley's not likely a pure dachshund—he's a bit on the small side for the breed and is probably mixed with something else petite. At about two years old, he’s a confident, social guy who enjoys meeting new people and gets along well with other dogs. Marley thrives on affection and seems happiest when he's being held or snuggled up with his humans. His experience with cats and children hasn't been tested yet, so that's an open question for future adopters. Adoptions are limited to within two hours of the tricounty SC area, with rare exceptions made for harder-to-place or senior dogs. Vet references are required for younger or medically complex dogs, meaning adopters should have a pet history in their name. Adoption events are held on Saturdays, but not every dog is present—reach out if you want to be sure to meet Marley. Ready to bring home a sweet, social companion?
